Supported Independent Living (SIL)

1st for Care offers Supported Independent Living (SIL) to NDIS participants.

In a shared living setting, we support/assist individuals with disabilities with everyday chores, with an emphasis on strengthening everyone’s capabilities to live as independently as possible.

We implement a person-centered approach to ensure we reach the participants aim.

We guarantee that our participants receive the highest quality services possible, focusing on their safety, well-being, dignity, and privacy.

To ensure that you meet your service objective, we provide 24/7 assistance through your assisted independent living plan. Some examples of SIL services are:

  • Assisted daily living services that are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with qualified and courteous professionals
  • Assist with financial and budgeting issues
  • Cooking, cleaning, and laundry assistance
  • Assistance with personal hygiene, such as showering and clothing
  • Assistance in the use of public transportation
  • Ongoing skill development
  • Medication Support
  • Support during a hospital stay
  • Community participation
  • Escorting and assistance in the hospital
  • Registered Nurse available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
